What’s The Best Small Camper Van For Travel?

According to recent statistics, the average cost of lodging in the U.S sits at $245.80 per night. Note that this price was 2 years ago. Lodging costs for traveling might be $300 or even more right now. It’s important for you to save money while traveling. This allows you to spend money on more enjoyable and interesting things.

So how do you cut down the cost of lodging for travel? The solution is very simple. All you need to do is invest your resources for a camper van. A camper van ensures that there’s always a free and comfortable space for you to sleep no matter where you are.

There are large camper vans, small camper vans, and luxurious camper vans. Let’s talk about small camper vans for today. As of now, allow me to show you the best small camper van that hardcore travelers and hobbyists shouldn’t miss.

Peugeot Rifter 4×4 Concept Introduction

The Peugeot Rifter 4×4 concept is perhaps the best camper van of them all. This one isn’t bulky and has great handling. This vehicle is apart from other types of camper vans because it doesn’t have a living space attached to it. Instead, it has an overland tent installed on the roof rack. The back of this camper van is designed just like a normal van and it can always be used as a normal vehicle.

Color and Design

This camper van uses the color tones of black and yellow. The yellow color is placed on its sides, tail end, and underneath its foglights. On the other hand, matte black color envelopes most of Peugeot Rifter’s 4×4 Concept’s exterior. Peugeot Rifter 4×4 Concept isn’t glossy, but I love this trait. A non-glossy coating gives this compact camper van an offroad feel.

Peugeot Rifter4x4 Concept looks like a pick-up automobile when facing upfront. In my opinion, this vehicle closely resembles the look of the Nissan Navara. The overall design of the Peugeot Rifter 4×4 Concept gives it a sporty look. Embellishment, embossments, and patterns fill the sides, front, and rear parts of its exterior. Peugeot Rifter 4×4 Concept is a camper van that looks very sleek.

Interior Design

Let’s take a look at the front portion first. Firstly, the look of the steering wheel is appealing. It resembles the steering wheels of sports grade auto-mobiles that Peugeot manufactures. Furthermore, the design of the steering wheel supports ergonomic handling.

The dashboard of Peugeot Rifter 4×4 has a very modern look. It’s colored with a sleek black coating. The dashboard is installed with the latest gadgets for cars nowadays. On it is a GPS, a wireless mp3 player, and other fancy things that the driver needs.

Now that we’re done on the front, let’s head to the back. Peugeot Rifter 4×4’s rear is very spacious. At least 4 or 5 people can fit inside. As I said earlier, this isn’t designed like a living space but follows the look of the rear portions of conventional vehicles.

The overland tent that is installed on the roof rack of this vehicle is very impressive. Its space is large enough to accommodate at least 2 people. It’s made out of breathy fabric so that the user won’t feel hot at night. Furthermore, it’s quick to dry and resistant to corrosion and fungi.

General Performance

This camper van might be small but it’s built to perform big. Peugeot Rifter 4×4 uses the BlueHDI 130 engine which can deliver 300 Nm at maximum. It’s paired with a 4×4 transmission that can be switched to three modes; 2WD (for smooth landscapes), 4WD (for muddy and steep roads) . and lock drive mode (for rocky terrains). The engine’s performance remains consistent in various landscapes and it doesn’t show any power drops.

Handling is pretty good. Engineers designed this camper van to be stable no matter what the terrain is. That said you can still drive recklessly even if you’re driving on difficult terrains with Peugeot Rifter 4X4. However, I suggest that you drive slow on dangerous roads for your safety.

Does the engine feel a lot of strain in 4WD and lock drive mode? Probably not. Peugeot Rifter 4×4 Concept’s engine doesn’t heat up unnecessarily when switched to these driving modes. The BlueHDi engines remain in optimal temperature which means that its components are sturdy and made to work hard.

Is Peugeot Rifter 4×4 Concept the Best Compact Camper Van?

This is perhaps the best vehicle in the small camper van category. Its design looks very sporty and its performance is simply impressive. Peugeot Rifter 4×4 Concept is the best caravanette that you can drive with ease and comfort.
